Well I've taken a moment out to look into Cynthia and I can't find anything out on her. Maybe it's not her per say. Maybe it's the type of stuff she wrote about that was of interest to him like comics. Maybe it's the newspaper. He was all about newspapers. Or maybe it was the editor. I'm fond of that given his earlier writings. I don't know. I think your on the right track though. Soze

I believe she was quite a famous actress from New York before she turned her hand to writing. She also seemed to do a lot of writing with Frances Ancker. Wow! Love this thread. Looked into it a little and Frances Ancker was her mother. An article says that the family had moved from Philadelphia to NYC to seek fame and fortune. Cynthia became a model for John Robert Powers. She was mainly known as a leg model and short story writer. She also made hats and jewelry. Obviously we do not know if this was Zodiac. What interests me though is the use of the Cynthia Hope short story from 1946. 25 years before the card, long time to keep an old newspaper unless for some reason this paper held some connection to the sender.

Why does he have to have the paper on hand for years? Was it newspaper clippings or was it paper? Thinking library, microfilm, printer/copier might be a possibility.
