A group of siblings whose family were friends with Arthur Leigh Allen have set up a YouTube channel featuring their recollections of ALA. Today they posted a video message ALA sent to their mother. https://youtu.be/4I0ydbg4Wi4 Starts at 3:23. Also a handwriting sample at 0:53.

ALA uses the phrase "couple hours" which brings Zodiac's "couple howers" to mind.

What was and wasn't found in the original raid on ALA's property

In the movie, they show Allen owning guns and a massive gun (machine gun? I am not a gun expert) when they raid his trailer. So I wondered if there was a list of things they found when they raided the place. Also did they raid his trailer or the Fresno St address? In the movie it is the trailer, but I was under the (probably mistaken) assumption it was the Fresno st place, as ALA fans like to say they raided the wrong place.

Also I read that the police asked his brother to look around the non-searched property when he was there, did they give him a list of things to look out for (guns, electronics, sewing kit, hood, etc)?

Arthur Leigh Allen's Suspicious Handwriting

In the Zodiac extra video His Name Was Arthur Leigh Allen, they showed ALA's right handed writing that he gave to the police. Then in the other Zodiac extra video, the one about linguistic analysis, they showed some of ALA's right handed writing. This version of his handwriting is much better than the version he gave to the police. So you would have to assume that ALA was pretending that he couldn't write well with his right hand so he could fool the police. Here is something else. In one of ALA's letters, he misspelled Saturday as Satiddy. I'm pretty sure ALA knows how to spell Saturday and he just misspelled it on purpose. This is something that Zodiac would do.

How did ALA became a suspect?

I've seen the movie and read a lot of paragraphs about the story but I really couldn't remember how he became a suspect. Recently one of the websites said that no one knows.

The halloween card has been fairly conclusively linked to certain comic books here: http://www.zodiackillersite.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=1275 Arthur Leigh Allen and his best friend, Harold Huffman, discussed comic books (in their youth), according to the latter's son, Rob Huffman: Of course very many boys read comic books at the time, but as Rob found it noteworthy, perhaps ALA was very big into them. I wonder if he did anything on the creative side as a kid.
