What is the explanation for the Zodiac correctly guessing unsolved cases 50 years later?

The Zodiac seems to have picked murders where the perp was not identified.

How did the Zodiac know that he wouldn't be exposed as a liar by a sudden reveal of who the perp was?

Or has that happened that he has already been busted doing this somehow?

THE (BIG) END 340 CIPHER

Hi, Some time ago I noticed in this topic viewtopic.php?f=81&t=3808 that the months written in the letter that came together with the cipher 340, abbreviated, with the exception of July, when arranged without space are 17 letters long, also in the same post, I noticed that the months when written in full mode, without spaces, it is 34 letters long (17 x 2). I found it curious at the time. DESJULYAUGSEPTOCT DECEMBERJULYAUGUSTSEPTEMBEROCTOBER Well, I thought these days and remembered that the last two lines when deciphered are distinct from the reading for breaking the cipher (period 19), and that it is 34 in length. Well, I went to Dave's website and did these arts. Interestingly, by placing the DESJULYAUGSEPTOCT months below the transposed cipher, "THE END" appears. I noticed that if the word paradice, which we know is mirrored, is placed in a normal way, we would have "THE BIG END". Well, as we know, there is no crime that is publicly known in the month of August. I found it curious that above the AUG brand, which is exactly centered on the line, something like DIE BLA appears, it can also be diable (demon in French) etc. I found DIE BLA curious, as it may be the initial of some victim, or local, I don't know. I researched this in a superfluous way. I would very much like those who have extensive knowledge of what happened in 1969 in that region, if there is someone who was murdered with initials B.L.A, or something like that. Also if there are names in an diagram that look or remember something to them, and that they are, possible victims in 08/1969. Anyway, sharing ideas. Marcelo ps, I noticed that LIFE when placed in a normal way, appears IS, using the "S" of "desember" misspelled. "Life is ??"

Thought I'd let you know I contacted Mark Acosta, Metro Editor of the Riverside Press-Enterprise re the Bates case. He told me he did not know if Riverside Police Department has contacted the national DNA data bank re evidence found at the murder scene, but would meet with his staff about this. Acosta seemed interested, and I hope he follows this up.

This may have been covered or maybe won't help at all, but I'm giving it a try. I plotted a very crude map based on the Mount Diablo meridian (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Diablo_meridian) and base line (see here: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... elines.png). None of the maps I looked at had any scale, coordinates, etc., so I was just going by eye. Of the victims (confirmed and unconfirmed) listed at http://www.zodiacciphers.com/, a 1966 crime and the 1970 Tahoe crime fell off my map. The rest, as best I can plot, are all along the meridian or base line, concentrated where the west and south points end. Mount Diablo is the center. I will try to upload my pitiful map, lol. This may not tell you anything new, but at least I tried.

I do believe the Zodiac is responsible for the murder of Arlis Perry in the Stanford Memorial Church in 1974. I believe the Exorcist Letter the same year is no coincidence. She was killed with an ice pick and ritualistically placed/abused. (I can also link my suspect to the same building, though not yet at the same time...yet) I don't believe the article though. Arlis Perry was a devout Christian and there is no way she would have been willingly a participant in such a ritual. I haven't seen anything to convince me of a wider Satanic Cult in The Zodiac or this killing, but keeping an open mind.

Since there's so much dispute over whether or not Kathleen Johns actually was abducted by Zodiac, I thought I'd try running a poll to get an idea of what people's opinions are. Please vote! I'm really interested in hearing people's thoughts and opinions, because I know they vary widely. Personally, I am inclined to think that she was an intended victim who got lucky and escaped--but I'm willing to change my mind if I find someone else's reasoning more convincing! Thanks, everyone!
