So here is my full theory. The symbols drawn on the bottom of the Exorcist card have always reminded me of an attempt to draw a digital number. I just arranged them according to their sizes. The thicker/darker lines closer together seemed to make sense. The number 8 just naturally evolves.
And the "ME-37" always struck me as an absurd number of kills.
So does it reflect the true number of kills?
Next, I looked at the date. JAN 29, 1974. I thought maybe ME-37 was an age (later I saw where someone had already come up with that idea and someone’s POI was that age.)
So I looked at my POI’s birthday , FEB 8, 1936, and he was also 37 years old, but only for eight more days.
So, was it another clue to his identity? Was he counting down the days?
Lastly, i believe this "note" might have been intended for someone. (I know that is where I lost most of you ) I believe that the Mikido reference has a very significant purpose.
I think you could pretty much jumble the ‘symbols’ around to concoct whatever you want. It is simply a case of searching for patterns in a ‘Rorschach test’ style, seeing what you want. If we take his last line before the symbols, Zodiac states "If I do not see this note in your paper, I will do something nasty, which you know I’m capable of."
The question is what is nasty and something the Zodiac is known for….the answer is killing. This is why I believe Kevin Robert Brooks has likely come up with the best answer to date.
And the answer to his true number of kills- likely still 5.
Zodiac was an ego overflowing, he supposedly reaches 37 kills, but doesn’t write a letter for nearly 3 years, I don’t buy it.
Tom made a similar demonstration with rearranging the segments of the symbol:
Someone even made it say "Gyke":
JFK:
Manipulated into the Halloween card symbols:
"Fry":
There is also a theory that it could be scars, like the ones on the face of the girl in the movie.
Some sort of relation to the movie makes most sense. Like the "help me" scene.
Just too many interpretations, imo. It could be anything you want it to be.
