While going through the boards and posts I stopped on this one and decided to open and select the picture of the card from my computer files. Wondering what ’14’ could refer to, I though about Zodiac’s known fondness of Cipher and word and letter games. And I noticed something that, I will be honest and say myself, I really am not sure about it’s potential to be even correct let alone relevant but i’ll let the readers decide that. First, here’s Z’s Ghoulish Greeting to SF Chronicle Crime Reporter Paul Avery, who Z likes to call Paul Averly…..
As is clear, the comic image on the front shows a hand gesturing with sign language for ‘OK’ and contains the number 14. Well, looking at the opening 4 words of "From Your Secret Pal" the 14th letter happens to be T. The large two word message on the reverse reads simply ‘PARADISE SLAVES’.
If we take the 14 appearing in the hand Sign for ‘OK’ and assume he may be saying it’s ok to use the 14th letter, that being T, and move it to use a second time then you get the following…
P A R A D I C E S L A V E S + T
PARADICE SLAVES T then becomes an anagram of: S E C R E T P A L.
Could this be why Zodiac spells Paradice with a C rather than the correct spelling using S?

See, cant get much past Trav because he has been too clever for us. He’s always switched on and alert! I mean I say "Well, looking at the opening 4 words of "From Your Secret Pal" the 14th letter happens to be T." and he knows just from that vague and general comment that I was referring to the 14th letter in a phrase, not the Alphabet. I believe he may one day win the Nobel Prize for Observation.

I just tihink that the number 14, is the letter n, that are being written in the opposite way, at the by fire, by knife, by gun, by rope, paradice, slaves, at the n in knife, that i think is a puzzel zigzag game, because i do not understand, why that is the only letter there, that are written in the opposite way, if it does not have any reason for it to do that, and i have thought about if it could be Robert Graysmith, just as well as many of the other suspects, that it is, with that the Words kife, gun, fire, robe, is things that are used at a Smith, in the old days, and when i also think that the name Robert, is a name that could stand for a slave, and when i also have seen a match of some of his cartoons, to the the cartoons on the postcards that z sended, when i think that it is very rare that two different cartooners, are painting something in the same way, and then also with all the wrong detials that he came with, in the book about this case and so on then, yes.
