For those who believe the Halloween Card to be authentic, I compiled a list of every name that wrote to the Tim Holt fan club that started with issue #34. The fan club was called Redmask’s Cave. Being these names are already in print, I am assuming it’s okay to post here, if not please move as needed.

I know it’s highly subjective in determining what the killers “clue” was in this communication but I am exploring the possibilities if Z wrote into the Tim Holt fan club. Figured it’s worth a shot for people to compare their POI to this list. The posts from California are listed first.

I like your idea. Out of curiosity what years are we talking?

From what I can tell, the fan club started at issue #34. Assuming Z wrote the fan club at an age of 10 – 15 years old, it would make him 25 – 30 years old around the time of the killings. I could be way off because I have no idea what the target demographic was for this comic.

#34 – Feb 1953
#35 – Apr 1953
#36 – Jun 1953
#37 – Aug 1953
#38 – Oct 1953
#39 – Dec 1953
#40 – Feb 1954
#41 – Apr 1954

Many have stated their opinion about the red mask over the skeleton’s eyes but it’s also very similar to the red banner at the top of the page of the fan club. It’s basically a elongated red banner with the words Redmasks Cave written into that space. I don’t know? Just a thought…

Great list….you never know.

…they may be dealing with one or more ersatz Zodiacs–other psychotics eager to get into the act, or perhaps even other murderers eager to lay their crimes at the real Zodiac’s doorstep. L.A. Times, 1969

It’s worth remembering that the hoaxer could have got the idea from these comics, too. So if it’s a hoax card then perhaps one of the names listed is the hoaxer. The Tom Holt link does not mean it’s a genuine Zodiac card.
