Any chance Zodiac sent that particular map to taunt Paul’s brother Joe who openly called him out after the murder? That was a Phillips 66 map, Joe was an auto mechanic in Modesto and there was a Phillips 66 in Modesto at the time according to that map. Maybe it was close to or near his shop or was his shop considered a Phillips 66?
It was not that long after the murder and Zodiac could have just walked right into Stine’s brothers shop and maybe even bought the map from Joe….I know if I were a serial killer and looking to show how powerful I was, that would be a good way for me to make myself feel bigger than without actually letting on that I was the one.
His brothers station was also only a block from Paradise Road in Modesto….and Paradise Rd happens to turn into "H" street. Seems I have heard those that think the words were put on there to form an "H" for some reason.
There is also a Tuolumne Blvd that runs into Paradise Rd there….wonder if there is a connection with that road in Modesto and the one in Vallejo where he made the call from?
Another interesting coincidence is that there IS a Washington and Maple Street (intersection) in Modesto. And Washington connects to Paradise as well.
