I feel fairly strong that Mary Alice was not the decoy for the BLA in the Ingleside Police Station bombing that killed Sgt. Young. Below is a post of mine that I copied from elsewhere.

This is an article about Rosemary McFadden who in 1973 was arrested, charged and convicted of guns and ammo crimes. Another woman, Marilyn Buck, was arrested the same day for similar charges. She received a 10 year prison sentence. Both women were linked to the Black Liberation Army just like Mary Alice Willey aka Mary McDowell. As a matter of fact Marilyn Buck is named in this article as being a "prime suspect as the female decoy" in the attack on the Ingleside Police Station that killed Sgt. Young.

I’d really like to know more concerning who the actual decoy was, I’d hate to see Mary Alice’s family carry the extra burden of their relative contributing to the death of a police officer as well as the brutality of her death.

I’m believe Mary Alice Willey may have been referenced somehow in that SLA letter from Z in 1974 as many have asserted before. Then again, I could see him having interest in SLA simply for their anticop/antigovt stance. Also the Feb letter was written around the te Patty Hearst did the bank robbery with SLA so he could just be referencing/mocking that. I’m not going to try and figure out how he could have been connected to her although I know many have done a superb job here of making some connections to POIs.

I was looking at Mary’s doe file the other day when I thought she could be a Z victim and was surprised when I Researched her more tonight that there was already a thread for her here. Bravo guys saves me a lot of work.
