I found mention of an old news article in the blurp at the top of this article. Forget the article but read the top talking about murders in santa cruz in 1981. There is a composite picture of the santa cruz murderer that they are trying to compare to the paul stine composite.

Living for a time in los gatos, ive never heard of this case so I googled around to try to find it.
