Shiri-Dine Bana’s car was a 69 Ford Torino. It was found at Blue Rock Springs Parking lot parked across 3 parking stalls (I wonder if it was the exact location of where Darlene’s car was parked) Strange that it was parked sideways at a 90 degree angle as if to draw attention to it.

The Knife and the "Timex" wristwatch very strange. The Solano County deputy coroner Mark Berto said it would take a physically strong person to inflict the stab wounds the woman suffered. At least 25 stab wounds, one went throughout the sternum, and then the killer was able to remove the blade as well. She was stabbed in the chest, neck and back areas.

The Dectectives speculated that she was killed where she was found, as she was still wearing her glasses. (No mentioned of blood being found) Then they state, The car was apparently returned to the park (Blue Rock Springs) and abandoned. Her car was found illegally parked across 3 parking spaces instead of occupying the normal single stall. Also interesting that both Vallejo & Benicia Jurisdictions were involved.

I wonder if Z had forgotten his Timex watch? This case has some ties to Z, imo:

– Car moved after homicide and found at Blue Rock Springs parking lot
– Body disposed without any efforts
– Multi-stabbing
– Reservoir Road, next to Lake Herman Road
– Timex watch found inside the car
– Vallejo area

Wonder what the band size of the watch was. How did the killer get away. Interesting case this one is. It’s very low key as well. Was it ever linked to a Z crime.
Could be a copy cat!
If Z involved it rules out ross which brings everyone else back into play

Where was a Timex watch mentioned ?
I read all the news reports in this thread, and did not notice anything about a Timex watch :?
And what was very strange about the knife?

This is cut and pasted.. its from "Tracers" post a while ago. "Lafferty’s account of his meeting with Bana’s mother (pp. 261-263) is confusing. He states that her mother met with him a year or so after Bana’s murder. At that time, the mother said she had been trying to get Bana’s car back from BPD, but that it was still "officially impounded." She then says that when they towed the car home, they found the knife and watch."

And this is cut and pasted from Sandy Betts. "The other thing I find very interesting is the knife that Shiri-Dine Bana’s mother found in her daughters car, along with a "Timex" wrist watch found hanging on the turn signal. How did Benica PD miss that ? The knife had what looked like blood or rust on it."

cheers
hope it sheds some light foreigner

The Foreigner,
Shiri-Dine Bana’s mother Mrs. Branowski contacted Lyndon & Jerry & asked to meet with them. She was fighting with the Benicia PD, trying to get her daughters car returned. The car was still impounded for evidence. She was finally able to have the car towed home. When the left door was opened, there was a large butcher knife laying on the floor board with either blood or rust stains on it. And there was a Timex wristwatch hanging on the turn-signal lever. She called the Chief of Police in Benicia, but he said they already spent more money on this investigation then they should have. Lyndon & Jerry suggested that she submit the knife & watch to Benicia PD & get a stamped & dated receipt.

I remember vividly my father always took his watch off and hung it on the indictor lever whenever he had to lift the hood change a tire or work on the car ..way back in the 70s..

So little about this crime its astonishing, when compared to other victims of crime. Gotta wonder if the watch and knife are sitting in some police storage box some where. its sort of hard to believe that the watch and knife were in the car. Crazy WTF happened.

Thanks Zam, that sounds just surreal and crazy!?, it sure is hard to believe that the police overlooked a watch and a butcher knife !
