I have heard about the Sonoma killings of young females and people connecting it with Zodiac. But recently I found out that there was a note found in one of the cases writing about slaves in afterlife? Zodiac had used the same phrasing in the solution of his first cipher. I never saw a copy of the Sonoma note appear on the internet and am interested if one of you know more about it.
In the attachment a newsarticle writing about the "Sonoma note"…

Eduard that article is a bit misleading. There was no actual note found but there was what was considered a "symbol" made of sticks on the side of the road above where SRHM victim Carolyn Davis was found.

You can read articles pertaining to this Z theory at my website. Look for the articles written in 1975 on this page-

Also the stick symbol was pictured in Front Page Detective September 1975. Just click on the top magazine at this link-

The "symbol" is on page 9 in the link to the article.

And for further information the Vallejo Times Herald also wrote an article about the theory and illustrated the "symbol" in an article posted here at this forum. Scroll down to April 25, 1975.

I hope this clears up things for you!

While I believe Z hailed from, in or around Sonoma during the Z crimes, I don’t think he committed the Santa Rosa murders nor do I think he created this large Z across the country. I would, however, like to know what Washington and Utah crimes they thought were his since my person of interest has lived in both states.

Soze, read the Front Page Detective article linked in my post above. Most, if not all, of the Washington and Utah victims were killed by Ted Bundy. The Giant Z theory was as creative as some of the theories proffered by people on the forums except that it was LE who dreamt it up!!! What little actual interest there was in the theory fizzled with the arrest of Bundy.

I, too, do not believe that Zodiac killed any of the SRHM victims.

Didn’t know about Utah but was thinking green river killer concerning Washington. Thanks for the mention of Ted.
