There is a quote from reporter Rita Williams, who was the last to interview ALA before his death. She claims he sent her a letter in which he wrote a ‘Z’ that was a match to the ‘Bates must Die’ letters. I have not been able to find a picture of this online anywhere so don’t know if she ever released it. Has anyone seen it?

If you mean the letter/envelope from ALA to Rita, you can find it at Tom’s site.

I find it interesting, I also read somewhere there was more material filmed in the interview but I can’t recall where I read it. I’ve only seen the short interview (there’s a link in the article). I think she interviewed him more than 1 hour so there should be more videomaterial. And I wonder what items ALA showed her, since she felt he was showing her clues.
ALA liked to play games with people . . . but there comes a point where you can’t ignore him.
Common sense would say he had to be involved in at least one of the crimes.
One of the persons I went to HS with, dad was a newscaster on channel two along with Williams the Hs friend is now a TV cameraman and is friends with Rita Williams on Facebook.

Thanks for the link, I must say the Z she claims is ‘identical to the one sent to the father of an unconfirmed Riverside victim ‘ is far from identical.
I’m not a big fan of ALA as our guy but I thought I’d seen all there was to see on him until I read that article. Funny how some stuff slips past even after many years of reading up on Z.

Do we even know ALA wrote that Z? Could be a mark from a postman or mail room.
