You’d have to ask a serial killer. 
I would think the answer is yes.

Hypothetical question, what if the brother you looked up to your whole childhood and you went to the army like him, became a cop like him(Dennis Land was a military cop and firefighter in the army) and then the younger Ray Land ended up figuring out his brother and another person at least was involved in that all the killings were in close proximity to National/State Parks , 2-15 minutes in some cases and he found that they were doing the killings and shamed him,told him he’d have to arrest him or kill him to save the family the shame and to take their show on the road out of county. And then they killed Paul Stine, planted all the Zodiac clues, (i’m thinking it was all false) so authorities weren’t looking at suspects in Vallejo. Many letters came after Paul Stine died and his so-called body count kept going up to 37 killings as he states. Idk just a thought. I’m looking at park rangers because of my new border and map fold phillips 66 clues, TheMapYouFall clues and the z340 clues. I don’t like naming names or nothing until i find more definitive clues out. "Only love can kill a demon." as Micky says. Maybe he’s right.
