Hi, I’m kinda new to the board. I have been reading mostly for a couple of months here. I read that there was a long list of airmen looked at for cjb. If so, does anyone have access to it? I have a name I would like to see if he is on that list.

I’d love that list, to compare to the my name is cipher..so far this hasn’t been provided although max interesting…the street cjb was killed was known for airforce base guys meeting the girls of rcc as the guys weren’t allowed inside campus or in front of it (somehow)..so they met around the corner which was where cjb was later murdered..

That’s the first I’ve heard of this, where did you hear about GIs picking up RCC coeds on Terracina ?

I believe that was once stated in the old forum, guys from nearby military base weren’t liked to be seen inside or in front of the RCC by the teachers/lectors..which had led to some people hanging around in the abandoned houses next street. Couldn’t find it immediately but still remembered..no idea if it was a fact but I think it was even mentioned that it had been some sort of silent agreement between the admins of RCC and the ‘guests’.

If I’m trying to find out if someone was posted at that airbase when cjb crime took place. How would I get that information?

I assume the interrest in airmen stems from Wingwalker footprints being found at the Bates death scene. As I understand it, Wingwalkers were made by prisoners for ALL the services. Further, I doubt Cheri’s attacker (if a civilian, which is probable) would have gone to the trouble of shopping for a pair of Wingwalkers at March AFB. More than likely he was in active service, or recently discharged.

The aerospace industry was thriving in Southern California during this time. These boots may have been available to these employees as well as to airline employees since they were known as "wing walkers" IIRC. As mentioned by others, they were also probably available in army thrift stores at some point.

The shoe prints found at the Bates crime scene were from military dress shoes not "wingwalkers".
Wingwalker shoe prints were found only at the Lake Berryessa crime scene.

TY, Monarch! Interesting that military footwear were worn at both Riverside and Lake B. Were they worn by the same man in both instances it would appear he was either an active serviceman, or one recently discharged.

My interest in the airmen comes more from a recent article I read in which a man has lots of connections in the area including riverside college. He was a pilot in the air force, but there was not enough details in exactly all his stations he lived or when precisely. The poi is suspected in another crime that involved him stealing a large sum of money. He was also suspected of killing his step father. So, if he was stationed close at the time I was wondering his name could be in that list of airmen.
