i was just wondering what was the date that the news media and thus the public knew Arthur leigh Allen was a major suspect as the zodiac . In the late eighty’s and deduced from graysmith’s book or LE releasing info ?
It had to tense living near him then .

Allen’s interview with KTVU reporter Rita Williams was shown PRIOR to "Zodiac Unmasked".
Being as Allen was still alive, since he was willing to sit and talk with her, I guess it was ok to air it. 
I do believe it came to light because of the yet to be released book.
