What about articles in the local Eureka papers?
Newspapers.com only carries the Eureka Humbolt Standard (years 1956-1967), and the Eureka Times Standard (1952-1977).
There’s an index here covering 1989-2005 but nothing comes up when I search for "Zodiac": http://library.humboldt.edu/timesstandard.php
Newspaperarchive.com covers the Eureka Times Standard from 1953-1993 but I don’t have a membership there: https://newspaperarchive.com/us/ca/eure … -standard/
You can still kind of search it if you use these terms in google: eureka "zodiac killer" 1990 site:newspaperarchive.com
But nothing really comes up except for some mentions of the NY Zodiac.
