The other "e" letters don’t look the same and they aren’t so close to the ground and therefore would’ve been easier to write in a more normal way.

I think it was written that way but the marker came off the door midway through for a couple inches.
Yeah, it looks like he did it in two strokes. But not in the more conventional way.
