I EMed Chief Diaz on 11/31/18, an am giving him until 01/14/19 to reply. If he doesn’t I’ll send a follow-up, and mention that zks.com’s members, while not all believing Z murdered Cheri, nonetheless, in the interests of justice, would like to see her case solved. Morf: How many zks.com members are there? I won’t give Diaz any names other than mine, but numbers speak louder than individuals.
When–or if–I receive a replay from Chief Diaz, I’ll let you guys know ASAP.
Dag
At the bottom of the home page it states there are 1156 total members.
Thanks, monarch! 1156 is a goodly number and, hopefully, will impress the Chief. Even more hopefully he’ll respond, and won’t need to be impressed.
Good Luck Dag !
I emailed Chief Diaz, repeating my request for info re the status of Bates case DNA. If there is no response, perhaps we might consider emailing him officially, as a group. That, of course, would be up to Morf.
Dag
Ever thought about him not being able to talk about the case without Z’s case getting dismissed later on?
Save energy & so…

QT: In that case, Diaz would consider there might well be a connection between Bates and Zodiac, which isn’t RPD’s official position. If you’re right, that means RPD’s steadfast rejection of Zodiac might be cracking. Also, I told the Chief that if he’s too busy with his duties to give me the name and address of the cold case detective dealing with the Bates case.
Dag, Det. Adrian Tillett is currently in charge of Cheri Jo’s case.
His phone # is (951) 353-7105
His E-mail is atillett@riversideca.gov
Thanx, Monarch!

Monarch: Just emailed Det. Tillett. Will keep all informed.
Does anyone have any idea what type of DNA evidence they really have? I mean–specific and technical. Is it only mitochondrial? Or autosomal? Or y-chromosone? Not location of recovery of the biological sample–rather, the type of testing that has been performed.

They obtained a mtDNA result when it was tested in 1999/2000 and tested against RPD’s suspect "Bob Barnett" which proved to be
a conclusive no match with Barnett.
Tahoe 27 posted that In the summer of 2017 they retested crime scene evidence and obtained new DNA results from Cheri Jo’s
pants and the wrist watch recovered from the crime scene. details of how much DNA and what kind of DNA RPD recovered
has not been disclosed.
