Just to clarify so no one on the board reading this misunderstands, The old photo I posted with the watermark "Historicaerials"
is a photo of the RPD police station and the green dash indicates the spot where Cheri Jo’s car was towed to.
I just tried to reply here to you all, not sure why it’s not showing up so I’m trying again, forgive me if I’m ending up repeating myself by replying again.
I had said that I appreciate you all for not calling me out for being a moron and not knowing that the photos of her car were not taken at the crime scene. I also appreciate very much the replies and your supplying of food for thought.
Why though, why take photos of the car AFTER it has been moved? Was this for recreation purposes, but if so, why, why not just go with the original crime scene photos (assuming any were taken)?
Still though I don’t get the parking situation along Terracina. Again referring to the area I marked with the yellow rectangle, I see nothing but sidewalk, trees, and grassy planted areas, but no parking spots. So in other words regardless of where the car was photographed after it had been towed, the crime scene location is still highly questionable.

Shaggy, Cheri Jo’s car was parked about where the green dash is in the 1966 photo above (it was parked at the curb)
the red dot in the photo is the crime scene.
Today they have palm trees planted in the middle of Terracina street that were not there in 1966, at that time Terracina
was a two way street with parking on the south side of the street.
I’m sure Cheri’s car was photographed at the crime scene, there just aren’t any of those pics available publicly.
I guess they moved Cheri’s car to the police station for the Detectives to go over it with a fine tooth comb and take
additional photos.

I guess since it appears that I’m the only stubborn one here, I’ll have to accept that the car was parked along Terracina as you’ve pointed out.
By the way, I want to get the highest resolution, highest quality version possible of the image you used to put the green and red dots on, where can I find this?

Shaggy, The photo is from http://www.historicaerials.com
The resolution above is about as good as it gets though, they have another pic dated 1948 and 1967 that has a little better clarity.
