Last night, I got to thinking about my POI, and the info I’ve amassed concerning him. Should I forward it to the relevant investigatory agency? (In his case, the Riverside Police Department). I’m seventy-six and, frankly, I’d prefer to spend my remaining years with family, rather than the Zodiac.
Thanx,
Dag

Question for you Dag . Is your POI a brand new name to the mix.. Has anyone ever discussed him before.. I really hope you have got the answers, it would be a great relief to see it solved.

Nothing to lose, one would think. If you think the info is good, you should definitely forward it. What they do with it is ultimately out of your hands, but at least you’ve done your part.

As for priorities, it sounds to me like you’re thinking about drawing the line in a sense, close the book on your active research into this guy – and be done with that part. If that’s the case, it sounds very much like the right thing to do. I’d rather spend time with my family than with the Zodiac too!

Norse:
Thanx for your advice. I’d pretty much decided on doing as you suggested, but wanted some feedback. The Riverside Police Department has been notoriously adverse to POIs other than Bil Bennett. However, my guy hails from their bailiwick; further, most of my efforts have been devoted to the Bates case. So, yeah, I’ll get in touch with RPD, and see what haps.

Do it Dag. It is their responsibility to look at all that comes in. If you do nothing, nothing will happen. Detail your reasoning, but don’t make it too long and drawn out. Highlight the most obvious and try not to bring in stuff that really won’t matter.

Think you should be very sure about why you contact them. I once suggested to check the timex found at CJB’s scene for smudge (DNA). However I never received any response on that.

I’ve mailed significant info re the Bates Case to the Riverside Police Department. What RPD chooses todo with this info is up to them. As of now, I’m no longer "Sherlocking". However, I will continue to check out zodiackillersite.com and, with your permission, occasionally make a comment.

"Sherlocking".

That should be a FaceBook status.

Yes. He’s stashed somewhere in one of Morf’s secret cubbyholes that I never seem able to find, probably because I’m a lo-tech geezer. I prefer not to call him a "POI", but there doesn’t seem to be an alternative description. I might mention that I do not know this individual, nor do I bear him any ill will. And, it should go without saying, he is, at present, absolutely innocent.

Yea the person of interest is too strong a terminology I agree.. How about POA Person Of Association.
They can be indirectly or directly ‘associated’ with the case, thousands of them, They can grow to be a poi as did Ross.
