What if Donna Lass was not kidnapped and killed by the Zodiac? Maybe Zodiac just took credit for her disappearance. I learned about John Bunyard while doing some other research and was struck by the similarity of a crime that took place at Lake Tahoe in 1973.
John Bunyard went on a crime spree that started in Stateline NV when he kidnapped and raped an employee of a casino. He kidnapped her while she was getting ready to leave work at Harvey’s Casino.
Bunyard was convicted of murder for the two women he killed in the Central Valley. He served his time and was released but is back in prison now for child molestation. Bunyard was thought to have been the Nob Hill Rapist, in San Francisco, but I can’t find that he was ever convicted of those crimes.

I would say its a good theory that z was not involved in lass….probably more correct than wrong
