Could Fred have been influenced by the title of this book by the famous poet Algernon Charles Swinburnes “ By the North Sea “ ? Lots of references in this poem about death, he references the sea as the “great gray mother of us all”, Fred was into his poetry so who knows, what are the chances of getting hold of this book? Is it rare or something as not many were printed? It sounds to me like Fred had suicidal thoughts especially if this book references being post humanly published, makes me wonder if Fred committed suicide and it was no accident, tit willow, echoes arose from the suicides grave (the mikado springs to mind)

Getting the book scanned would definitely be neat.

BTW when you search on Google and want to exclude certain words from the search results just use the minus character, such as -zodiac will filter out any results with zodiac in it. You can exclude multiple words.
