Hi everyone,

My name is Janice, aka EyesOfTexas. I was born and raised in North Texas and have been fascinated with true crime for many years. I happened to be digging through a box of $1 DVD’s at Big Lots and came across Zodiac – gotta love a bargain! I had heard of the case but never really knew much about it. I watched the movie and was instantly hooked on the case. It wasn’t till about 3 weeks ago that I decided to Google "Zodiac killer" and voila, I found all of these websites and forums. I really liked the feel of the community on Morf’s previous site so I joined and here I am.

A little about me – hubby and I have been married over 20 years. We’re on our second Lab – Ebby. She’s a rescue and has canine epilepsy and is the sweetest Labby girl you will ever meet. Her epilepsy is well controlled with twice daily medication and lots of love and care. She always has a tennis ball in her mouth. The only thing she likes more than chasing a ball is eating!! Then we have two rescue cats; Louie who is a Maine Coon/Tabby and is scared of his own shadow and Giblet (soft g) who is a domestic shorthair who desperately needs to lose a few pounds but hey, so do I  I am a small business owner and make handcrafted, artisan cold process soaps, lotions and other bath and body products. It’s a lot of hard work that doesn’t pay much but I love what I’m doing!!

I don’t have a definite POI at this point but I have been following AK Wilks posts regarding ciphers very closely. I’ve also been doing a lot of research on the different types of ciphers that y’all mention just to try and wrap my head around the terminology and to try and better understand how they might be deciphered. Fascinating!

Anyway, I’ve posted a few questions and comments – mostly I’m a reader though but will interact when I can.

Thanks to Morf13 for letting me join and thanks to everyone who has answered my questions and who have welcomed me. :D

C ya round the discussions!

EOT, glad to have you here! I love Labs, they are the most expressive dogs, ever. We had a yellow Lab named Dude many years ago when the kids were growing up, he was a wonderful companion.

You will learn much at this forum, the people are really patient and happy to answer questions.

From one dog lover to another, welcome to the board!

When in doubt, don’t.

Welcome Texas.

I have one rescue cat, technically, in that I accidentally rescued him.. Found him in the wheel well of a car downtown just before Christmas. I stopped to see what was happening as the owners of the car fished him out and ended up bringing him home. He pooped in my jacket  . His name is Bo jangles but he just gets called ‘Bo’.

Trav.

I don’t know Chief, he’s very smart or very dumb.

"Runtweiller/lab" – I love it! Casey, our first Lab was a Lab/Great Dane mix – she was a BIG girl. Ebby, our new girl is pure Lab, although she’s not AKC registered, she was malnourished when she was young and is relatively small for a Lab. She’s svelte :)

Awe, well I’m glad you kept him even after he pooped in your jacket, lol! :)
