I thought I introduced myself ages ago, but apparently I slipped (hence the title) and forgot.
My name is Casper, but I’m also known as frndlyghost on Twitter and elsewhere. I’m the unfortunate sister of Harriette Sucher. I say "unfortunate" because she’s apparently bent on making my life a living hell.
I’m a happily-married (2nd time for hubby and me) Christian woman who has spikey hair with a hot-pink-&-black.streak in front and the attitude that goes with it. I have one awesome adult son from my 1st marriage.
I love to take pictures (I’m the church photographer), sing, do various crafty thingies, experiment with electrical and electronic stuff, love to read and write, am something of an artist, owned a beauty salon once upon a time (with 3 other partners), was an amateur television makeup artist (local shows produced by my church in San Francisco. It was a blast seeing my name in the credits on tv), was a PBX operator, and my last job was as a master merchandiser (aka vendor). I loved that job so much that I kept at it despite arthritis, bone spurs, and my doctor’s urging me to quit. I worked for 6 different companies and was a "mystery shopper" for 2 others. I was averaging 50-60 hours a week when I had a mini-stroke in October 2009. The doctors then found an aneurysm, and I was medically forced to retire (which is why I hate it when my sister says I’m lazy and haven’t worked in over 20 years. Nothing could be further from the truth).
So now I’m on disability, although I do occasionally help my husband in his work. We have a small handyman/hauling business, and there are still some things I can do. Some of our clients need "before and after" pics, and one even needs "during" pics. So I go along as photographer. Btw, November 30th is Small Business Saturday. Do yourself, and your neighborhood, a favor: support the small businesses near you.
That said, it’s nice to (finally) "officially" meet everyone
Hi Casper & Welcome~
Totally agree with you, as I try my best to support local, small business’s. And since I live in America, I do my best to buy "Make in the U.S.A.
