A HAM RADIO is the key to solving the Zodiac mistery
"Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth."
1, It is easy to eliminate the "one killer one letter writer" model; fingerprints, palm prints, DNA, witness description, etc… DON’T FIT, not even close (and not even for the 4 core cases).
Back to square one.
2, One of the places to kill the "one killer one letter writer" :-)) model is the kidnapping of Kathleen Johns on March 22, 1970 (Case number: C62677). Johns a few times changed her story, none of her versions agreed with the police reports. The police report is logical without contradictions. Basically Johns lied, and no kidnapping ever happened.
Zodiac in the July 24, 1970 letter sent to SF Chronicle took credit for the kidnapping. HUGE MISTAKE, he opened Pandora’s box: Letters and murders are independent of each other unless there is good reason to think otherwise.
3, For the murders we have multiple suspects with good evidence against them -multiple killer model-.
4, Some of the letters are considered false (or copycat); most of them are considered to be genuine and from one person.
5, There are only TWO CASES where the letter writer and a killer are linked:
5A, September 27, 1969 – Brian Hartnell and Cecilia Shepard attack; letter writer wrote a message on Hartnell’s car door
5B, October 11, 1969 Paul Stine murder and the bloody swatches of Stine’s shirt included in subsequent letters
For these two cases we do not have suspects with substantial evidence .
6, The letter writer had to commit the two murders but not the others. So where did the letter writer get murder details from? Did he have a police insider friend? I could not find any evidence for that. However; one of the suspects -Richard Marshall- was an amateur radio enthusiast, ham radio operator and he had access to the airwaves for private recreation on a non-commercial basis. Marshall worked for San Francisco Bay Area Radio Station KTIM.
MARSHALL WITH HIS HAM RADIO WOULD HAVE HAD ACCESS TO the 42 MHz Segment (42.080 – 42.880 MHz / 7.00 – 7.13 m ) used by CA Police and CHP.
Listening to his ham radio Marshall gathered enough info of murder cases so as to post the details in his letters.
Just as sick as if he killed them all.

This thread is for introductions only.

I don’t know Chief, he’s very smart or very dumb.

Even the link between the main letter writer and the car door writer is uncertain, IMO.

Why? You think the writing is not genuine Zodiac writing? Or you think it was easy to make a copycat?
(actually I does not matter to my case, but would be better to have a relatively good/better case)

I tried to post a new topic, must have made a mistake.
Anybody can tell where to post new topic?

HI Alex11–

Welcome aboard. If you haven’t already done so, find a good subject/topic to post in. Here (of course) is the link to the main page: index.php

Something like this would probably be good in the General Discussion thread: viewforum.php?f=25

NOTE: The "New Topic" in red….top left.

Newbies might need a few days before you can create a thread. I will double check.
