Hi, been following Morf for awhile now, decided to finally officially join the forums.
I have been studying this case for many years now. Like a few of the sensational suspects that have become public recently, I also stumbled onto this case by happenstance while searching for my nomadic father. He was from Texas, served several years in the Navy as a mechanic working on fighter jets at Chase Field NAS, before committing some crimes and serving several years in Huntsville prison. He was released in ’68 and moved to the SF area immediately following his release.
He met my mom in 1973 in San Jose and they moved to Phx and were married not long after when my mom learned she was pregnant with me.
Just after my sister was born 3 years later, he stabbed my mom and then disappeared for good. My mom survived and is still alive today. My mom had always told us that she really didn’t know much about him, that he was very secretive. Never talked about his family, never told her that he had served in the Navy or did time in prison. She didn’t even know exactly what he did for work, and that he traveled alot for work, sometimes being gone for days or weeks at a time.
As my sister and I began to discover all of this, she said to me one day "he could be the Zodiac killer". I had never really heard of Zodiac, and began the deep dive into the case. I became fascinated, almost addicted.
And while I am fairly certain I have enough evidence to rule my father out, I have never stopped following this case. In fact, the last several years have become even more fascinated.
So here I am, and that’s how I found my way in here.
Thx again for having me. Cannot wait to hear the news one day that puts a face and name to these crimes, once and for all!
