He was known as the Santa Claus Strangler in CA. If he’s still alive, he is about 90 years old. He is currently sitting in jail in CA for murder, a life sentence. He allegedly murdered 3 women and is suspected of murdering others.
He emigrated to the US early 1900’s.

His m/o doesn’t really fit Zodiac. That hasn’t stopped others, in the past, at looking at suspects who have behaved the same way, I just think it is highly unlikely.

Thanks for answering! I am looking at him. In the San Pedro area, about an hrs. drive from Riverside. He would be about the right age for Zodiac. He was in a military area. However, I’ve never been to CA and can only check out areas with google earth. When I find more (if I do), I’ll post. This guy seemed like an ordinary Joe, except when he was busy with criminal activities. He had been married and had at least step-children. I’m trying to figure out what cars he drove in the 50’s and 60’s.

Also Laudenberg was a cabbie for many years. Just thought that interesting.
Adolph’s family lived around Lexington, KY, and he had sibling who was born and died there, according to Ancestry dot com:

Tragic Death
Annie is believed to be one of at least 4 women murdered by a middle-aged cabdriver, Adolph Theodore Laudenberg. More than 30 years after his crimes, Laudenberg was convicted of the murder of Lois Petrie using DNA evidence & confessions he made to family that he killed 4 women in the 1970s. In prison for life, he remains the prime suspect for the murders of Annie, Catherine & Lehan.

I, too, think that these women do not fit Zodiac’s MO. All were women over 40 years old. Lois Petrie was born in 1929. Anna Felch was born in 1920. Catherine Medina was born in 1924.
I had a little trouble finding the last victim and believe her name was Leah Griffin, not Lehan. I found an article that said Griffin was killed in San Francisco.

Working with that info I found there was a woman named Leah Griffin who died in San Francisco in 1975.
Her SSDI lists her last residence as being in Los Angeles and the month of death is February as opposed to March on the CA DI. However the social security number and date of birth are the same.
She was either visiting San Francisco and killed there or she was killed in Southern California and her body was dumped in San Francisco. I was not able to find a single article written in 1975 about her murder.
Wouldn’t you know it, I just found confirmation that the victim’s name was Leah Griffin from a 2003 LA Times article. Laudenberg was also suspected of killing two other women in San Francisco.

It drives me nuts, and others too, when a victim’s name is not spelled correctly. It’s really a final insult to the victim as far as I’m concerned.
PS I’m not faulting you Featherweight, the name was misspelled in many articles and websites.
