Being from the UK I was wondering how common the name Adrian would have been in SF during the 60’s?
Only because it’s an anagram of Radian; which seems very random in the scheme of things.

I do not recall Adrian as being a particularly popular name for men in the US back then however its female counterpart Adrienne was somewhat popular. As a man’s name it was more popular in Latin American countries.

I know I have seen the name Adrian on this site at least once. If I remember correctly, the guy Morf posted about who went missing in Canada around 1980-ish, I think his name was Adrian something. I will check…

EDIT: Thomas Adrian Dubree supposedly drowned in 1982, but his body was never found. In 1969, he married a friend of Cheri Jo Bates.

A few minutes ago on a toilet not very far, far away….
