If you have found a dot on the Zodiac map, I cannot see it. There is no official report indicating anything other than the crosshairs added by Zodiac. If you have spotted something it’s likely an anomaly or unintentional aberration.

I believe I see the "dot" you are speaking of and don’t think a better map is going to help you. I went to Google maps to see if there is anything going on in the area (assuming the dot wasn’t done by the zodiac). That area looks to be the start of a portion of a large land mass, possibly called, Pleasanton Ridge. In that specific area there is the Chouinard Vineyards and Winery, Westover Winery and the Holy Cross Orthodox Monestary. I dont know that any of the three was there when the map was made. I would assume the Monestary was.

I think I see the "dot" you are referring to, it’s just a tiny speck. It’s not on original maps, but it seems to be on all the Zodiac copies I’ve found. Probably just a speck of dirt or something but who knows? Good eye Simplicity.
