Hi. I was wondering if someone could please clarify who made the call to the police after the Paul Stine murder? Also, I’m sure I read somewhere that there had been repairs to the phone lines in that neighbourhood around the time of the murder, is that correct?

The kids in the house across the street from the crime scene were the ones who called police.
The phone lines in the area having been recently worked on does not ring any bells with me but maybe it will to someone else. What bearing do you think that would have on the case?
I was pondering about why the Zodiac would choose the Presidio Heights area and the idea that I’d read about the telephone lines and that they may not have been working properly at the time popped into my head.
