I’m very new to the case and had a couple of questions about RG and ALA. In the movie the Zodiac supposedly spoke to a maid and said, “I have to kill today because it’s my birthday”. Also RG claims that the calls he was receiving, someone heavily breathing into the phone, stopped immediately after ALA passed away. I’m just wondering if there is any truth to that or if it was all made up to make ALA look more guilty. Thanks
Afaik the birthday thing in the movie was made up. I don’t know about the phone calls Graysmith claims to have received.
I wonder if there was public knowledge that Allen was considered a suspect or even interviewed by SF PD. Making a assumption that has no credibility so this is just a "what if" here. What if false claims of victims that came from people identified as not being the Zodiac lead to someone trying to taunt Graysmith? Could someone have known about the payphone calls made by the person claiming to be the killer for Lake Herman Road and Blue Rock Springs attacks outside of law enforcement? I find it possible if that circumstance is true that someone was copying a scare tactic.
