Indeed, my Danish friend.
And our word slingin’, phrase toutin’ friend might want to consider this passage too, before he proceeds any further:
He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
And:
He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
That’s King James, boys and girls. Words long written down. Heed ’em, blind bats and braggarts.
Wise advise

as well, Wi11iam the commoner.
I don’t make New Year resolutions. I find them spurious and banal. I do feel like a bit of a killjoy though so I would like to thank the KJV via Norse for giving me one that I can use and be comfortable with from now on.

"To erreth less"
It’s been my resolution for years – but I never seem to quite make good on it. I usually make it through January without any major incidents, but come February…oh, the err…ing begin…eth.
I think the key part is ‘less’ as opposed to ‘not at all’. It is, rather fittingly, a very forgiving resolution …and, at the very least, it gives the illusion of wisdom.
To erreth is human. To forgive is divine. To keep erreth-ing and expect a different result is insanity.
Traveller1st & Norse you lift my spirit

MODERATOR
Greetings all, davidfrancis here.
Geez, I’m reverberating with excitement and it seems I’m going to be rather busy today. I know most of you (I said most not all. Fact) have frequently visited the forum to see if my obligatory replies have been posted. Well, here they are. When I implied for valleylife to “feed me” I wasn’t expecting everyone to climb on board and present me with the five course meal all at once. Oh well, I better get going so I can burn some calories after the feast I have been presented with.
1. Norse’s comment: “The latter. There should be no confusion about that. Whoever wrote that letter was being, let’s say, imprecise at best.”
Norse,
Was the individual really lacking exactness, or was he being manipulative?
Thank you.
2. Talon’s comment: “ugh…pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.”
Talon,
I don’t know what to make of your picture, and I’m struggling to understand the context of your comment.
However, there are six points that best describe the Wizard of OZ:
a. Intelligent
b. Gritty
c. Entertaining
d. Tactful
e. Inspirational
f. Tactical
Of course, we all know that Humbug was an impostor who played and toyed with Dorothy’s mind, however, in the end the Wizard’s magic dissipated.
Thank you.
3. Marcelo’s comment: “Hello David. The topic of initial profile is interesting, you write very well (it is clear that use translator because my English is deplorable). The Age you suggested to suspect ??? !! How Come ???! As The social class, I agree, since the crimes were on dates and times in which the working classes are enjoying small gaps, so do not imagine he was a Playboy. Sorry,But I’m stubborn, no grudge with the infamous Z, or like you, still think he never had a woman in your life, let alone children, but the examples you showed are facts, but as the Zodiac, he did not like girls let alone dream one day to life (having children), was a selfish bastard. Could you list your suspects to us with the profile that you drew.? Here are several people familiar with the case in detail and could help further (not my case, I know superficially) again sorry if my english became codes and not what I mean. Happiness. Marcelo Leandro.
Marcelo,
Your English is just fine and I wouldn’t worry too much about it. From what I understand, and having briefly looked at your blog, you seem to believe that Allen was the Zodiac. You, I, and others, are all allowed to set our sights on who ever we choose. I still don’t have a POI, but continually search for the target I believe will carry the precise benchmark number. The age of my suspect is based on reports given by people who had partially seen him and/or heard him, and also on studies I have undertaken of past serial killers (interviews, correspondence).
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
4. bmichelle’s comment: “I find the play of words quite intriguing among some of you. Thank goodness I have the internet to look up some of the "referenced writings" referred to here. Be it, a little time consuming but worth the effort. davidfrancis you are quite diligent in your approach. The topic has taken a turn but I still await more answers and to this point I have not been disappointed.”
bmichelle,
Yes, the internet has opened up a new gateway to those of, let’s say, average intelligence. Back in the day, I sat in the library paging through thousands and thousands of material to sharpen my intellect, however, this same material is now available at the touch of a button without much knowledge or research going into it. I’m glad that thus far you’ve not been disappointed.
Thank you.
5. Theforeigner’s comment: “davidfrancis please don’t flatter yourself…and…beware…hubris will be your fall …”
Theforeigner,
On the contraire mon ami Mousqueton, I was being facetious. Since I was the one who began the topic, I find it to be my duty, obligation, and also politeness, to reply in kind to those who have reciprocated. Moreover, as long as I don’t become a Schadenfreude, hubris’ lack of humility will never befall me.
Thank you.
6. Norse,
Thread carefully my friend. You are skating on rather thin ice! Forum rules are quite severe towards those who contravene them. However, I believe if we use these terms in a quotational sense, we should be fine. The KJV is my most prised position, and in fact, my most knowledgeable discipline. Remember “It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.”
Thank you.
Question everything, learn something.
So David will you please let us in on your POI? The suspense is getting to me.

Hi Real, I read your profile of the Zodiac. I know its your take and I appreciate your time and input. I agree that this profile is likely one, with some understood margin of error. Everyone would love to have the perfect profile but this is impossible. I too have studied the case and visited the killing locations in Northern California. I learn a little more about Zodiac every time I visit this site. Your answers to the group questions were to the point and polite. I like it. Your Zodiac profile almost perfectly fits a POI that I have. (The age is spot on) Everyone’s POI is just that until we can get their DNA into the system. I value and look forward to your input.
Regards,
TGOZ
I haven’t read past the first page yet, so, I don’t know what your answers are to some of the questions asked of you. I will say, on the surface, I think your profile is spot on except for the following:
From Riverside to San Francisco the trail of destruction was vast and scary. Women and men were the targets of this individual’s psychotic and sociopathic mental illness. Young kids who had so much to offer were mercilessly cut down by a barrage of bullets and a cold steel blade. There was no rhyme and reason to what he was doing. Nights became his favourite theatre. He would roam around like a blood sucking vampire looking for his next prey. Lover’s lanes would ultimately fulfil his desires, and in them, he would slay his innocent prey. However, Lake Berryessa, which became a murder scene, didn’t seem to fit the pattern. Daylight, speech, and an array of items and weapons, were strangely out of character.
Do not agree at all, but, only my opinion.

By the way, will you be introducing yourself zydeco? You win the prize for the most posts in two days for a newbie! Jumped right it–I’m glad you are comfortable here.
I have a feeling he is with us.
He’s around somewhere, I can feel it in my bones.
Confident? or arrogant? From the little I admittedly know about the case, I surmise the killer created the zodiac persona to bestow such attention on himself as he would never have merited on his own. It also seems reasonable to me that he suffered from neglect as a child, either real or perceived, and felt a perhaps somewhat just and self-righteous sense of indignation for the under appreciation of his abilities by others. The gap between his real self and entitled self could only be bridged by the creation of an alternate personality that WAS worthy of the attention, hence the Zodiac.
Is there a thread somewhere on what is known about the childhood of the leading pois on this board? This could be very illuminating.
Your surmise fits my POI’s childhood perfectly, you just might know what your talking about
