An Arizona woman Deborah Milke who was convicted of murder and sentenced to death in 1990, has had her conviction overturned. A federal appeals judge has ruled Milke wasn’t given a fair trial. Milke’s four year old son had gone with two men to see Santa Claus around Christmas and had been murdered, in the desert, and the police said that Milke had confessed to planning the murder, which she hadn’t.
At risk of being inflammatory (or religious or political) – chalk another one up for the "a good reason why capital punishment ain’t such a good idea" point of view. Just sayin’.
Or not allowing a police officers testimony who has a history of lying under oath and a history of misconduct while on duty.

but police not so much ? my neighbor was a county deputy and likely would have been sheriff another close neighbor reloaded shotgun shells and the deputy had him reload some with shot and glass shards , but ask him why he said – so they do not show up on an X ray.
Or listening to or reading the "Media", that reports lies as truth and convicts suspects before a trial.
