October 19th, 1970 near Santa Cruz, California firemen arrived at the upscale house of eye surgeon Dr Ohta to find the house on fire and five persons murdered and their bodies in a swimming pool. Authorities were worried that a mudereous gang of drugged hippies were on the loose. Their were no suspects until the Ohta’s car was found with a type written letter on the windshield which started "Halloween 1970" and talked about the evils of the modern industrial world. The police got a tip on a suspect John Linley Frazier a person who lived in a run down cabin near the Ohta’s house and arrested him. Phillips had led a normal life married with a child and worked as an auto mechanic until one day he quit and soon left his family, and took up an anti modern lifestyle. During his trial Phillips shaved his hair and beard on one side of his face.
The murderer’s name was John Linley Frazier.
