The skeletal remains were found yesterday afternoon, Sunday Dec. 8th, so there is not much information so far. It was stated on the noon news, just a few minutes ago, that the gender of the person is not known and that the remains could have been there months or years.
Windsor is located a few miles north of Santa Rosa in Sonoma county. It is just south of Healdsburg, one of the places listed on Joseph Naso’s list of ten victims found in his safety deposit box. Six of the victims on that list have been identified but not the Healdsburg victim. I am not implying that this might be one of Naso’s victims. It’s way too early to determine that, just trying to give a little background of the area.

Wow, this is really big news. If not a ‘newer’ victim, this could be the body of Jackie Kay Boyer.
The area is near Calistoga Road, Franz Valley, where other SRHM victims had been found in the past (less than 10 miles). Can’t be Kamahele’s as she had sandals.

Yes, QT it is big news but until we know whether or not the skeletal remains are male or female any speculation on our part is pointless.
Watching this with great interest. Wondering is it a crime victim, male or female & age. Regardless, hopefully it will solve one missing person’s case. Be interesting to see how long it takes LE to figure it out. Hope their careful with any possible DNA.

Watching..however it appears as if they never had a homicide..other possible victims
Kimberly ‘Kim’ Ann Stewart, 21, 1977
Mary Ann Hogland-McCluskey, 12, 1981(disappeared from Los Guilicos Juvenile Justice Center, around the corner but still 16 miles away, both locations are on the East side of Santa Rosa)
Anthony Lamar Horner, 18, 1989 (wore sneakers/tennis shoes when he disappeared)
Geoffrey Penfield Adair, 29, 2005
Ok, my personal guess is either Mary Ann Hogland-McCluskey or Geoffrey Penfield Adair..but just speculation. BTW, didn’t we discuss Larkfield/Windsor or Fulton previously in connection with a murderer who had lived there? Besides Naso’s connection to Healdsburg?

Thanks for posting seagull. I hope this gives a family somewhere some answers they have desperately been waiting for.
Every once in a while remains are found in the vicinity of Lake Tahoe…can’t help but think of Donna Lass and sure hope one day to have the answers about her.

In September there was also a body found near Leggett..could be Daniel William Southers or one of the others listed on the Mendocino Sheriff website..

This is a terrible way to present this but I am very busy today. I just saw a story on KTVU channel 2’s News at Noon that said more remains have been found in Sonoma county. They were found by a diver at Lake Sonoma down about 100 feet. I’ve checked KTVU’s website and there is nothing posted there about this story yet. Perhaps someone can keep checking and start a new thread if it looks like a promising story. Again sorry for the poor presentation, I’ll be away from my computer for a while today so can’t follow up.
There has been a little bit of an update on the remains found in Windsor. I believe that Docker pants are made for men, not sure if they make women’s pants.

Skeletal remains discovered at Shiloh Ranch Regional Park in Windsor over the weekend appear to have been there for at least a year, a Sonoma County sheriff’s official said Monday.
The park had been closed since Sunday afternoon after a father and his two young children on a hike found a skull and a tennis shoe in a creek bed about a quarter mile into the park from the parking lot, Lt. Carlos Basurto said.
On Monday, investigators removed a full skeleton found hidden in the leaves and dirt as well as other evidence, including the shoe and a pair of Dockers brand pants, Basurto said.
Forensic technicians and search and rescue volunteers were also brought in to scour the area.
The park was expected to be reopened to the public at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Basurto said detectives will attempt to identify the person through DNA evidence, dental records and missing person reports.
“It will be take a while to determine who it is, the gender and cause of death, if we can determine that,” Basurto said.
The Sheriff’s Office closed the park after the father called in the unusual finding at about 2:20 p.m. Sunday in a creekbed off a trail. A deputy was stationed overnight to guard the area.
Basurto said the area could easily be missed by hikers who stay on path.
Shiloh Ranch park is off of Shiloh and Faught Roads, southeast of Windsor.

There is a short story on the latest remains reported in Sonoma County. Seems the remains were reported to the SO by a diver but the remains have not been located by the SO yet. Therefore it’s kind of a non-stoty for now.

A dive team was searched Lake Sonoma on Tuesday for possible human remains after a diver reported seeing what appeared to be bones, Sonoma County sheriff’s officials said.
The dive team did not find any human remains during Tuesday’s search, said Lt. Steve Brown. The search began at 8 a.m. and ended right at dark, Brown said.
The search will continue either Wednesday or Thursday morning, Brown said.
Sheriff’s officials called for the aid of the Marin County Sheriff’s dive team and a team with an underwater robot from the Oakland Police Department to search the area near the Lake Sonoma Bridge, officials said.
The diver reported spotting human bones in about 95 feet of water near the bridge. He notified the Sheriff’s Office at about 1 p.m. Friday.
It will be interesting to see how this develops. Yes Docker pants (and shorts) were really popular for women to wear, about 30 years or so, ago. But, I bet some women still buy & wear them. I have a pair of Docker Shorts that I brought about 8 years ago. I know they still make mens and I assume they still make women’s. I would think if they were there for years along with the tennis shoe that they would start to fall apart & break down!?

The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office is in contact with the family of a person who went missing 21 years ago in an effort to identify skeletal remains found recently at the bottom of Lake Sonoma, Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Stashyn said Thursday.
The remains were recovered by an FBI dive team on Feb. 4 and 5 after a recreational diver spotted them on Dec. 9. The FBI team had to be called in because of depth and complexity of the task — the remains were found in about 100 feet of water.
Based on where the bones were discovered, the Coroner’s Office believes they belong to a person whose vehicle was found parked on the bridge 21 years ago, engine running, Stashyn said.
The person was never found and it is presumed he or she committed suicide by jumping off the bridge, Stashyn said. The Coroner’s office is working closely with the missing person’s family to confirm the identification, he said. That includes checking dental records, if they can be found, or comparing DNA.
“We’re still putting it all together,” Stashyn said.
The missing person’s name, gender and city of residence will not be released until the remains are identified, Stashyn said.
