Leroy Blevins does some excellent work on his Youtube channel on JFK. I selected this video from the Nix film showing his spotting of two shots being fired from the right of the motorcade from shelter 3. If you go to the Nix film linked below and slow it down in settings to 0.25 of normal speed, in frame 39 you see shot A shown coming from the left window. In frame 40 you see shot B, producing a trail of smoke. I have produced an image to show where to look.

I honestly cannot see either gun flashes or smoke.
Seriously, I would love there to be a conspiracy involving the CIA, Cubans, The Mafia, and the gun-running guy (Banister?) but unfortunately it was Oswald. When police went to the Paine’s house and asked Marina Oswald if Lee has a gun, she said yes, took them to the garage, and pointed to some rolled-up carpet. She told them it was in there, and the cop picked it up and the carpet bent in two in his hands. Marina immediately started crying as she knew he had taken the gun with him.
And this is just one minor detail in a huge list of things that make Oswald suspect number 1. To show someone else/some others did it, you have to "disprove" all the evidence against LHO.
One interesting "conspiracy" point – the Paine’s were involved with the CIA!
