Judy Worrell..went missing in October, 1981, near Sacramento. Interesting case..24 years old, got missing from a visit at a local bar after getting a ride ‘home’. Not very much info, would like to know which bar it was and how she actually had looked like.

My aunt Judy is still missing. There’s a chance she may have been found as a Jane Doe on January 2, 1982 in a shallow grave. The location was in El Dorado county but this is yet to be confirmed by a DNA comparison with my mother’s DNA. I’ll keep you posted.

Hello, thanks for joining..

Judy Worrell is NOT listed on namus.gov, the official website for missing persons. This could have various reasons (identification, never reported, etc.). If she is still missing, she should be mentioned there, imo.

However, it seems like she once actually was: The link I had posted in 2013 may let assume that she once had been listed, but is no more – identification? Can’t find a Jane Doe from Oct. 2nd, 1981, either.

Have you been the one who had driven her to the bar / Do you want to tell us more about the incident (e.g. which bar, if she has ever met her friends there, have you had drinks with her at the bar etc.)?

This unidentified person could be a match, too (DNA of her is available):

http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/142ufca.html

Same height, nearly same weight, area, pink vs. red pants, black colored hair, similar age etc…maybe you recognize the tattoo? There was some facial reconstruction possible so the time from missing to this Jane Doe to be found (3-4 weeks) seems to be not unlikely.

picture of such a sternum:

A tie tack in the shape of a cocktail glass was found under (!) her body, should be from the Jane Doe’s assailant (guess otherwise it wouldn’t get there). Not necessarily those two cases are related, however.

Again, thanks for joining / supporting.

Thanks for the reply. My aunt Judy was given a ride to the bar that night by my cousin Daniel. Is the story we were told. My aunt was living with her oldest sister at the time and Daniel is her nephew. He was a little younger then Judy. She had been missing for months and no one reported her missing until my mom drove down from Redding, Ca. They reported her missing on Jan 2, 1982 and her remains had been found the day before on the first.. according to my mom… but how much is really factual I don’t know. Please forgive my date’s mix up above.

And neither Daniel nor her sister realised she wasn’t there anymore? Although she and her, sister possibly also Daniel lived together? Strange. Was Daniel ‘happy’ to drive her to the bar?

Sorry for your loss. Thank goodness for DNA to solve some of the Jane Doe cases.
If you learn more, keep us posted.

I’d say the Texas one is not the correct one, also we should respectfully (not) deal with such details. However there is one thing that may be said in addition to the previous, which is that the two latter addresses, 3021 O Street and 2426 P Street, are very close to each other (someone might have moved in the same district).

What is more interesting, imo, is which bar or club that was. The "Zodiac Club" at West Capitol Avenue is quite far away (also not really a Z time then).

El Dorado county is quite a distance to travel from there..guess it took the driver moreless 1,5 hours to get there and drive back (home?).

And still, I slightly wonder if she had arrived at the bar at all? She was supposed to meet some friends..if so, some people would have seen her (thus might know how and with whom she had left that evening – or if she had arrived at all).

To be honest, if she had never arrived at the bar to meet her friends, I’d be curious about what her nephew had to say regarding that. Snoop4U, please be careful just in case someone you know better (or not well enough) is related to that crime (approx. ~63% of homicides happen between people who know each other, ~22% are family-related, ~7% ‘other members of the family’). Therefore, chances are higher that there is no family-related incident (93%). Nevertheless it might be a better idea to only ask authorities or add/request additional information from authorities. Especially if she went missing after her stay with friends at the bar, the ‘case’ might become indeed difficult to get solved (depending on what her friends had told to police, if there exist any protocols etc.).
