Mother Of Slain Girl Is Located The mother of the hippie girl whose body was found Brisbane last Saturday has been located in Santa Ana and has been notified of her murdered daughter’s death.
Sheriff’s Capt. Eugene E Stewart identified the woman as Mrs. Hildred Hoien and said that from her it was determined that the real name of the m der victim was Mahala Hoien Miss Hoien, 22, who had narcotics record, had used the name of Michelle Hoi and Mahala Ericfcson, among others.

Stewart refused to say how Mrs. Hoien was located.
Notification of her daughter’s death; was made yesterday by Santa Ans police’ at the request of the coroner’s office here.
Sheriff’s Inspector Rudy Siemssen was scheduled to talk with Hoien by telephone today.
Siemssen and other investigators, concentrating on the hippie district in San Francisco, have learned that Miss Hoien was well known there.
They have talked with many persons who had contact with her and have tracked her movements to "a date later than November 4."
Stewart refused to be more specific on that point.
It was estimated that Miss Hoien had been dead for two or three weeks when her nude body was found beside a remote dirt road on San Bruno Mountain last Saturday.
She had been angled with a man’s sacking and shot through the heart.
Investigators were attempting today to establish a motive for the crime, which could lead to the identity of her slayer.

Au- thorities say Clarence Leroy Jost, 26, supplied LSD to Miss Hoffman and also to a Santa Ana couple whose home was raided last Saturday. The couple, Roger Erickson, 26, and Mahala Erickson, 22, of 806 N. Lowell St., are free on $500 bail each ponding arraignment Oct. 21 in U.S. District Court at Los Angeles.

Miss Hoien was found Saturday in the bushes off a desert road just outside of Brisbane, north of San Francisco.
She was naked and had been shot in the heart and the abdomen with a 25 caliber revolver then strangled with a man´s sock.
The sock was around her neck and a man´s T-shirt was around her feet when she was found.
The shirt bore the stenciled name of a Hell´s Angels motorcyclist, who deputies said is being hunted.

Dont understand you say that because you wrote that Mahala was "Murdered at at 525 Asbury St, SF" and that is not the lovers lane?

And where did you get your info that the name in the T-shirt was "Sandy" ?

Sorry was late when i posted it last night without the facts in front of me (My Bad), she lived at 525. It was when searching "Lovers Lane" that i can across her.

The detail of her killing sounds a lot like the Santa Rosa hitchhiker murders.
