I have been following this case for a long time now, over on the Websleuths site.

Mostly I do not understand how someone could kill two innocent, and defenseless 3 and 4 year old babies. Much less their parents.
This one is still a mystery! They found their bodies about 4 years after they went missing, but still have not caught who did it!

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities searched for the missing McStay family across California and into Mexico, and found their bodies in the desert a hundred miles from home.
They now say the family of four was slain before they ever left their house, and a man familiar to them was their killer.
“I don’t know Chief, he’s very smart or very dumb.“
I have followed this case for a long time now, this will be wonderful news if it goes all the way and can be crossed off the ‘unsolved’ list. How sad for brother Michael McStay to be suspected all this time, must be a horrible burden on top of the emotional stress.
