EDIT – I changed the title as it was misleading. I had read articles that called this another Highway of Tears set of killings, but it is not set on Highway 16 so I was not happy carrying forward that description
A young couple shot whilst travelling through B.C., and what sounds like the burnt body of a man discovered in a layby. Police are trying to calm nerves by saying it’s unlikely to be a serial killer, or that the cases are related. I can believe the second point, but they must be insane to think people will believe there isn’t a serial killer stalking that road right now.

MAJOR UPDATE – This story is unfolding over the last few days. After the RCMP found the charred remains of a man’s body, they also came across the burned out remains of a Dodge pickup belonging to two teenage boys who were on a road trip. Initially it was suspected that they had also fallen victim to the same killer as Fowler/Deese. But as of yesterday afternoon the RCMP have announced a manhunt for those two teenagers, believing they are the killers. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, hopefully without any further bloodshed.
