Carolyn Davis was from Anderson Union High School..there recently was a thread about her in connection with other homicides.

Seems they got the right guy via DNA? That would be great-great-great because if Terri Lynn was killed by the same guy as Carolyn Davis, they get very close if not directly to the SRHM killer..at least the one of the ‘second era’ killings. In 1973 Davis was one if not the last SRHM victims, killings started again in 1976. No more collecting of earrings then, so at least a change in MO.

I wonder if they just deal with a drop of blood, as that was the only thing that had been recovered at the scene? No knife ever found by police..

Denise Lynn Oliverson got missing in 1975, then Janet Lee Bowman (Arcata), Susan Lori Dye (Santa Rosa), Karen Frances Fisher (Arcata), Victoria Lynn Schneider (Eureka), Andrew Scott Ewing (Redding), Kimberly Ann Stewart (Santa Rosa).

Strange side effect: The name ‘Lynn’ appears four times…Terri Lynn, Denise Lynn, Victoria Lynn and also Carolyn somehow.

Haha, yeah, I noticed that, too. Also, "Davis" is a surname that appears a few times in CA unsolveds from the 70/80s…

I know, for example "Marie" was the most popular middlename in the 70s, and you’ll find a handful of Marie’s, too. So might be that Lynn was another common middlename?

True…like ‘Abraham‘ was a popular name some time ago, too.. ;)

When two murders occur at the same school, any investigator should get suspicious. I bet my last five cent that they don’t even think about any connection to the Carolyn Davis murder yet…

‘Several items of evidence were submitted to the California Department of Justice DNA lab for analysis.’

Strange that, when they only had found one drop of blood on a stone, they now got ‘several items’. As they ask for assistance to solve the crime, I’ll give them the hint regarding Carolyn.
