For me it was something completely unrelated. Around 30 years ago a couple of miles from where I lived near a place called Mow Cop a taxi driver was garrotted on a isolated country lane. I seem to recall even though I was little at the time the police finger printed every person in every house for miles around, including my parents. My god mother actually saw somebody the morning after walking across a field close to their house whilst walking their dog with blood over their torso (they were questioned by the police about it). Unfortunately the culprit has never been found.
A few years back I can remember reading about it again so I decided to go onto the internet to find out more information but when searching I kept coming across a different taxi driver who had been murdered.

I saw David Fincher’s movie probably a couple of years after it was released (screened on the BBC, but I haven’t seen it on UK TV since). Then I started researching suspects other than ALA. I found Bruce Davis interesting because of the Manson link, but I didn’t go into depth at that point.
Fast forward a decade and EARONS gets captured with DNA. That rejigged my memory on Zodiac. Then I discover this forum and get heavily invested in wanting this case to be cracked.
