Wow – that is interesting and not something I’ve seen before.

I emailed the lady who wrote the blog but have not heard back from her yet. I have also been chatting with someone who knew Thoresen personally, well kinda (a family member of his, an uncle I believe, was an associate of Thoresen’s) and he has said some interesting things, but nothing relevant to any murder cases.

Found a really good newspaper article on Thoresen that I had not seen before. This was from right after he was killed.

And this one is even better. Has allegations of assassination plot schemes and more. This one even gives the name of the alleged assassin that Thoresen hired to murder his brother. The assassin that Thoresen himself murdered a year later… This guy just gets more and more interesting the more I read about him.

This next link has to do with Thoresen’s 1959 arrest in Maine. His father came to bail him out, but ended up leaving him in jail. "The father brought with him funds sufficient to bail petitioner, but did not bail him. He informed the district attorney that he was worried about petitioner and thought that he should be treated in a mental institution"

Fun fact: Thoresen’s mansion was 12 blocks from the corner of Washington and Cherry.

Both grew up in Chicago, but Evergreen Park and Kenilworth are 35 miles apart. It’s possible, of course, that TK and Thoresen knew each other.

Do you happen to know an address or street name to where Louise (Banich) Thoresen grew up. Bill did spend a fair amount of time in that area in the late 50’s and early 60’s when he and Louise had started dating.

Thoresen’s parents obituaries that I have seen have no mention of their sons, William "Bill" III or Richard.

This newspaper clipping is from Oct. 2, 1956. And remember Thoresen was a suspect in the 1957 murder of Judith Mae Anderson. This car chase happened close to where Judith’s body was found.
