I was researching a guy who worked for another cab company in S.F. and came across this.

It’s probably pretty far fetched to think that Stine was murdered by a cabbie from another company or an independent cab driver, but anything is possible. It looks like this case was hitting the court room in Jan. 1968. For some reason it reminded me of Anchorman where the have that big rumble between all of the different news stations.

This has nothing to do with the Z case, but is somewhat amusing. The guy I was researching was a name I found in the 1969-1970 directory. He worked for DeSoto Cab Co. and that is how I stumbled across that link. Anyways, in 1953 this cab driver was robbed by a man who tied him up, took his wallet, watch and a ring off of his finger. The robber was driving the car and it broke down so he got out and ran from the cops. He pointed a gun at a cop so the cop shot him and he died at the hospital. His gun was not loaded and was such a piece of crap that it was being held together by tape hahaha. As he was dying, an officer asked the robber if he wanted him to contact a priest, and the robber replied "Go to hell."

A few minutes ago on a toilet not very far, far away….
