Very nice find, Ophion. The person who found Yoshemp/Oscar on eBay told me about this seller, but I never actually saw the link before. That is very Gyke-ish indeed.
A little background — Last October, a researcher discovered Oscar’s email address (yoshemp@earthlink.net) in eBay’s records. There is an eBayer named Yoshemp, but his account is inactive — I am guessing this is also Oscar. He made 70 transactions between September, 2001 and February, 2003. Only one person who sold stuff to Yoshemp responded to questions about him, but his Paypal record turned up nothing. So he was probably using mail orders.

Oscar was kicked off Tom’s site in April, 2001, so maybe he needed a new online hobby and turned to eBay.

Going way out on a limb could produce more clues or open more doors. You never know. And for a person who sits in front of a computer 8 hours every night, it helps to kill time.

I messaged a bunch of the people that had left feedback on his page, or that he had left feedback on theirs. So far only two have responded and they both did not remember that username.
