Great find people.

Here are some of my thoughts. I’m not sure if these are the same Cindys. They all lived together in 1967-68, and if the Cindy Kennedy above was 23 in 1977 when she was arrested for hit and run, then that would make her 13 in 1967. I doubt she lived in some apartment with what I assume were her brothers and some stranger (Ross) in 1967 at 13.

Second, the Cindy Kennedy who married this Tim is probably not her as well because there was no Tim Kennedy registered at that address. There was a Terry, Phillip and Cindy.

I assumed Cindy was their sister, or maybe could be the wife of Terry or Phillip. There were only 3 bedrooms in Apartment 2 (remember it was actually a house with one bedroom apartment downstairs and a three bedroom apartment upstairs. They all shared the kitchen). So if Ross had one bedroom and one of the brothers had one, it’s possible the other bedroom was shared by a husband and wife. I had not thought of that. In any case, I don’t think the one married to Tim is the one. She would have had to been married to either Terry or Phillip.

On edit: Cindy and Phillip were registered as students (I assume at UC Santa Cruz, but maybe not) and Terry was registered as a food server employee, same as Ross.

OK so that probably excludes both Cindy at 433 Locust St, and Cindy (of Tim and Cindy) at 411 Loma Av and 303 Doris Av.

That leaves the Cindy at 164 Montclair Dr, listed as a Student there in 1976. That seems a long time after also being listed as a student in Ross’ apartment in 1968, if this is the same Cindy. I also found Joseph and Virginia Kennedy living at the same 164 Montclair Dr address, place of work listed as "The Plumtree" which was a shop in nearby Capitola. So I presume they are Cindy’s parents. There is a May 24, 1987 article in the Santa Cruz Sentinel about Renee Marie Kennedy marrying Robert Jeffrey O’Connor. It says Cindy Kennedy-Hoover is Renee’s sister, and that Renee is the daughter of Joseph and Virginia Kennedy of Santa Cruz.

UPDATE: In 1981 there is yet another Cindy listed at 164 Montclair Dr., still listed as a student. That’s 13 years after Cindy Kennedy being listed as a student in the 1968 directory. Seems unlikely to be the same Cindy.

I did find one Cynthia M. Kennedy of Hayward, CA in her 60s who is related to a Terry Lee Kennedy (30s) but I don’t have a telephone number yet. I only have her address. I’m still looking. As I wrote above, it’s possible Cindy and Terry (in this case) were students and were married young and sharing an apartment with Terry’s brother Phillip. Perhaps Terry Lee was their son.

So far I think that’s the best bet.

P.S. I just got word back from the Cindy Kennedy from that Real Estate company. She says she’s not the same person.

Hmm, there is a post here somewhere by Morf who spoke to a man who used to live in an apartment where Ross used to live. He was the one who told the story of how Ross entered the house one day, though Ross no longer lived there and was eating a stick of butter from the fridge. He supposedly went after the person who confronted him with a knife. I believe it is these same apartments. If Morf can make contact with this guy again he might be able to help locate these Kennedys.

EDIT : Found it here

Do you know for sure Terry is a man?
