I know this probably belongs to its own thread but since it’s still not been confirmed by official sources (and since I don’t participate in the discussions about other suspects) I decided to report it here (and please feel free to move this thread to where it belongs).. In the 70s there was in Italy a serial-killer, who targeted love making couples in the countryside around Florence. This article appearead today in a major national newspaper, reporting a confession by an American ex-Army officer who moved to Italy in 1974. Apparently he provided a solution to one of the unsolved Zodiac enigmas. This is still very recent news so please be cautious. It’s been almost 3 days since this info came out and though no media in the world seems to be talking about it! I mean, if the Zodiac has really been uncovered, why isn’t it considered as big news, the man has been hunted for half a century now!!!
It has not been confirmed by the police. Maybe it’s fake news that’s why I wrote it’s fishy. But I will keep you updated if this claim is confirmed or refuted.
Apparently the suspect denied having confessed to the journalist. This looks like fake news so it can be dismissed. Back to the Unazodiac thesis.

They both killed in lover’s lanes, so I guess that does it. Z and The Monster could not have been more different if they had tried. One was a non-sexual power killer and the other an anger driven killer. I discuss profiling in my book, The Hunt for Zodiac. If you want to know who raped for the same reason as Z killed, see Bill Cosby. I had taken that section comparing the two (Cosby and Z) out of my book because Cosby had not been convicted as of last December and might have been able to sue me but now that he has been convicted, I may put that part back in. He was wealthy, powerful and had everything to live for, so why did he have to rape people? But he did!! My suspect was wealthy, powerful and had everything to live for, so why kill? The answer is power! If Cosby could do it, so could my suspect.
That argument against my suspect seems so "2000" and irrelevant now. But that is what they said back then…
