For the moment I am preoccupied with the case of the Judge Vance mail bomb murders, a 1989 case which killed Judge Robert Vance and Attorney Robert Robinson. The case is called VANPAC (for Judge VANce PACkage bombs).

For background see:

viewtopic.php?f=102&t=2022 .

I strongly believe the man convicted for these crimes, Walter Leroy Moody, known as Roy Moody, is actually innocent. Walter LeRoy Moody (aka Roy Moody) was convicted of these charges, based on a circumstantial case and testimony from his ex-wife (threatened with decades in prison if she did not testify), despite no physical evidence linking him to the bombings, and he is currently on death row. They served NINE search warrants on him, used a vacuum on the floor, walls and CEILINGS, and could not get one microscopic grain of explosive charge or anything to link him to the bombs.

He is currently set for execution on April 19, 2018. I am in communication with his lawyers and have provided evidence to them, including FBI documents obtained by FOIA requests by Darla Jones. I should have finished my research and forthcoming article several years ago, but I had serious medical setbacks in 2014 and after which prevented me from finishing my work.

See http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/02/24/ex … -bomb.html

I am asking for help now.

I have reason to believe Ted Kaczynski may be the person responsible for these bombs. I lay out the reasons why in my post. Very briefly, after being seen and sketched in 1987, Ted did no Unabomber bombs from 87 to 93, He did not target any computer or technology people, as he wanted no further progress made on the Unabomber case. But I think he wanted to keep killing and perfect his methods. There are many matches between Unabomber bombs and VANPAC bombs. Technically, out of 17,700 bombs in the ATF database, only four series had threaded rods through end-caps secured by a nut or bolt. Arguably, (crudely and ineffectively) a 1972 device possessed by Moody, which went off by accident and only injured a hand, 3 of the VANPAC devices, lethally and expertly, 3 devices attached to a LA power tower in March 1989, and four bombs by Ted Kaczynski from 1993 – 1995, lethally and expertly.

Only the Vance bomber and Kaczynski used ballpoint tubes as improvised detonators. The VANPAC and UNABOMB shared methods also included brown wrapping, white string, red/white/blues labels. priority mail sticker, stamps in the US flags over monuments series. ruse of coming from a colleague (fellow professor, judge or attorney), etc.

Some of what I specifically need at the moment – the full addresses, the street addresses, of the return addresses used on the VANPAC bombs. See my post here if you wish. Ted Kaczynski, as the Unabomber, frequently used names, cities and streets with Wagner themes, nature themes, such as water, mountains and animals, and most of all, tree and wood themes. So did the Judge Vance bomber, as I point out in my post. I know the following names were used as return addresses, but don’t know their street addresses used. So if you can locate their street addresses in 1989 that would be of huge help. If I am right, some or all should have street names with wood, tree, nature, water, animal, mountain or Wagner themes or associations. If you can find some or all, a huge help, also great if you can screen capture or copy the actual listing. I need:

Judge Vance bomb 12/14/89

Return address name Judge Lewis R Morgan, (street unknown)Newnan, Georgia

NAACP tear gas bomb 8/20/89

Return address name Cheryl Zalesky, (street unknown), Atlanta, Georgia

Robert Robinson bomb 12/89

Return address name Rev. John E Jackson, (street unknown), Warner Robins, Georgia

11th Circuit Court of Appeals bomb 12/16/89

Return address name Joe R Edwards, (street unknown) Atlanta, Georgia (He may be an reverend, NAACP official, or more likely, an attorney or judge)

NAACP explosive bomb 12/15/89

Return address Henry G Smith, (street unknown) Warner Robins. Georgia

Attorney Robert Robinson, 12/89

Return address name Rev. John E Jackson, (street unknown), Warner Robins, Georgia

If someone has access to White Pages or other similar databases, they could probably do this fairly easily.

Thanks much for any help. I may post some additional requests tonight or tomorrow.

Is anyone good at finding this kind of information? Does anyone have a subscription to or otherwise have access to white pages are there similar databases? Or does anyone have any suggestions or tips for me as to how to do searches that would find these addresses? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Unfortunately, I cannot help. Does Roy Moody still plead innocent?

From the very beginning, all throughout and to this very day, Moody has maintained his innocence.

continuing to plead innocent does not mean you are.
his cell was bugged and he did mumble something to himself that he wished he did not do it… but that could have been about the first bomb he made that injured his wife that put him into the spotlight, this was also the judge whom rejected his case. interesting

Most people who listen to the bugging tapes, even reporters who were pro prosecution, agreed that they were essentially unintelligible.

Moody was super litigious. His 1972 conviction was still on appeal at the time of the first mail bomb, so he still had a chance to get the conviction overturned, which means the mail bonbs didn’t really make any sense. He was involved in so many cases that practically every judge of the circuit had ruled against him.

Judge Vance had not ruled on the main issue of his conviction. In fact, Judge Vance had once ruled in favor of Moody. So it makes absolutely no sense that he would kill one of the very few judges who ever ruled in his favor.

I’m happy to debate the evidence, and debate his guilt or innocence, but let’s do it in the main thread I have established in the Kaczynski section called the "Bombings of Judge Vance and Judi Bari". Let’s leave this thread open for someone who can hopefully give me help or some suggestions on how to find these addresses.

Thanks very much to Theforeigner. She found many of the addresses I was looking for. The only address I am still looking for is Lewis R Morgan, (street unknown), Newnan, Georgia. He is Judge Lewis R Morgan, and I don’t know if the return address was his residence in Newnan, GA, or a federal courthouse in Newnan, GA.

But Theforeigner found most of what I was looking for. And remember that Kaczynski had a pattern of using return addresses with nature words for cities and streets, in particular tree or wood themes, and I found instances of the Judge Vance bomber doing the same thing, and wondered if the pattern continued in the return addresses I did not have. Theforeigner found:

THEFOREIGNER: Here is what I have found on 1989 addresses:

NAACP tear gas bomb 8/20/89
Return address name Cheryl Zalesky, (street unknown), Atlanta, Georgia

Full Name Cheryl K Zalesky
Birth Year 1957
2325 N Peachtree Ct, Atlanta, GA 30338
(Feb 1989 – Jun 2001)

Robert Robinson bomb 12/89
Return address name Rev. John E Jackson, (street unknown), Warner Robins, Georgia

Full Name John E Jackson
Birth Year 1918
Age Deceased (Feb 1994)
100 Ravenwood Way, Warner Robins, GA 31093
(Sep 1986 – Jan 1998)

I found them at:

http://www.familytreenow.com

AK Wilks: Excellent! As I stated in my original post, a well known Kaczynski obsession was selecting target and return addresses with nature themes for streets and cities, including water, mountains and animals, but most frequently, tree and wood names. I noticed the Judge Vance bomber had similair tendencies, and many target and return addresses had nature themes, and in perticular tree and wood themse. I predicted the return addresses I did not have would match this pattern, if in fact Kaczynski was the real Judge Vance bomber.

You can see the return addresses Theforeigner found include Cheryl Zalesky, 2325 N Peachtree Ct, and John E Jackson, 100 Ravenwood Way. In addition, the address found for Joe R Edwards that he was likely living at in 1989 was 534 Colewood.

So all three addresses found fit the pattern of tree or wood associations. It definitely adds to my presentation of facts and evidence.

Thanks again very much to Theforeigner.

In fact Ted Kaczynski used the same word as the Vance bomber did for a return address. The Vance bomber used Ravenwood and Kaczynski used Ravenswood.

In the Congressional Record from May 24th to June 8th, 1999, there was a bill (H.R. 1121) to name a courthouse and federal building in Newman, Georgia after Lewis R. Morgan. I am not sure if Judge Morgan worked at that particular building in his career, but the address is 18 Greenville Street. I will PM you a link, AK.

Thanks Drew. Yes, I think that’s the most likely explanation. I think it’s very likely that Judge Lewis Morgan did work in that courthouse building, the one they eventually named after him. The Greenville Street address does have a loose association to nature.

As the Unabomber, Kaczynski used a method that made targets more comfortable opening up packages. He would use the return address of a colleague, a fellow professor or fellow business executive, to make the recipient of a mail bomb feel more comfortable in opening the package.

Often, but not always, the streets or cities of both targets and return addresses would have they nature association, sometimes water, mountains or animals, but most often trees or wood.

In this instance of the mail bomb sent to judge Vance, the bomber did pick a street that has a loose nature association, Greenville, as green is the word associated with the environmental movement and the color of plants.

But probably more important to him was that Judge Vance open the package, and seeing the return address of Judge Lewis Morgan from the federal courthouse building in Newnan, Georgia, would make Judge Vance feel comfortable in opening the package.

The return addresses that Theforeigner found, Peachtree Street, Ravenwood Way and Colewood, all three have a nature association, and a direct tree or wood association. Thus continuing the pattern I observed where target and return address street names and cities had the same nature themes and tree and wood themes that we see in the Kaczynski bombings.

What with all the GSK and genealogy/DNA cases of late, I only just read that Walter Moody the "Judge Vance bomber" got executed back in April, aged 83. Just posting in case anyone else interested missed it.

And maybe our friend AK Wilks would like to comment here, as he had input with regard to a possible miscarriage of justice (with the Unabomber as the potential alternative perp). I was wondering how the information he supplied was received, gratefully or just a brush-off or… nothing? And any other thoughts AK might have to share.

And, if anyone has qualms about octogenarians being put to death?

Thanks for the interest and the question RTF.

Yes it was a bitterly disappointing experience for me. In a few days I will post some information about what happened.
