Pretty excited as I am a folk fan and have loved a lot of his material for ages.

Although the film wasn’t up to much, Hurdy-Gurdy Man was the perfect spooky song which always reminds me of Z, and I’m hoping he finishes with Atlantis which has featured in countless movies.

Have a great time! Donovan has some great songs!

The concert was stellar – simply him and his green acoustic guitar (which he names Kelly) plus a guest sax on 3 songs.

He got straight into it with Catch The Wind followed by almost all his popular songs plus some more obscure 70s numbers and a couple of Scottish ballads. Hurdy Gurdy Man was epic, all the lights turned red. He finished with Mellow Yellow. Didn’t do Atlantis which I think was the only omission of his famous songs.

2-and-a-half hour set with a 15 minute intermission.

I stood in line and met him briefly; his are the first words in my new yellow moleskine, "To Richard, Donovan" plus he signed a couple of his own photos circa 1965 that I paid a pound for. I told him that I was going to play Atlantis on my phone on the walk home and he laughed.

You lucky devil :). Sounds like it was a wonderful show. So good to see Donovan is still kicking and doing his thing.
