I was on Richard Grinnell’s Zodiac Ciphers web site. The post was about the Santa Claus card in the 1981 Joan Webster murder. One poster suggested that the positioning of the lowercase letter "a" was the same as that on the "concerned citizen" letter/card sent to Vallejo PD offering to help solve the 408 cipher. He pointed out that the "a" is "dropped" that it strikes lower down than the other letters.
I think it goes beyond that. Both cards contain the word "please." The spacing and positioning looks remarkably similar. The a is dropped low. The s is slightly risen. The final e is back to about level. The e and the a are squeezed together.
I’m not a typesetting expert by any means. But to my amateur eye, it’s eerie.
Is there an explanation that doesn’t involve them being from the same typewriter?
Are there other typed letters in the case with a similar "Please?"
The "concerned citizen" card is considered Zodiac evidence by the Vallejo Police Dept. See it here:

The other card you mentioned is not considered an authentic Zodiac communication by any agency I know of.
